IFD Products
Freight Drones
The freight drone will fly autonomously or via remote pilot instructions. It has the following capabilities:
- Able to carry a shipping container weighing up to 10 tons of goods and packages up to 435 miles (700 km).
- Utilizes twin turbine helicopter engines.
- 3D cameras mounted around and under the fuselage for 360 degree view by the remote pilots, flight operations and on-board object analysis.
- Infrared cameras on the front and bottom of the fuselage will provide information of living objects and structures ahead. The drone will change its flight path to never be overhead of a person or structure.
- Thousands of IoT sensors to allow constant monitoring by the drone’s analysis system and flight operations.
- Aircraft cargo cage will be mounted to the air frame and used to pull containers into the drone, secure them for flight and then release them.
- The fuselage and most of the component parts will be made from lightweight composites.
- Contains a server farm to process all information from various components and then uses a majority rule decision management process to make all on-board decisions.
- Contains programming for self preservation.
Droneport Franchise
This product will provide a franchisee with all of the necessary plans, materials, systems and documentations to build, outfit and operate a droneport.
01
Construction Materials
Franchisees will get a location at the end of Sky Lane that will be their exclusive use. The consortium will provide the architectural plans in electronic format so that local architects can modify them to meet all local building codes.
The Franchisee will also receive a list of consortium member products that will be key to the construction of the Hive.
02
Operations Systems
The droneport, once built, will require a number of systems to provide for the operation. These will include:
- Flight Operations – tracking, take-off and landings, flight plans
- Ground Operations – container and drone movement robots, fueling depot, people tracking, drone scheduling.
- Truck Bay Management and Security
- Maintenance Management
- Security (Physical and Cyber)
- Remote Pilot
03
Operating Procedures and Licensing
Now that we have a droneport and the systems are installed and ready to operate, we provide the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to assure that the droneport operates in a safe and efficient manner.
We add all of the country’s regulations so that the droneport can always reference them should a question arise.
Sky Lanes
In order to keep people and structures safe on the ground, drones of this size will be confined to the Sky Lanes that the consortium in purchasing from the government. This will give us an exclusive use of the air corridor without the worry of putting anyone or thing at risk.
The Sky Lanes will run from city over a maximum distance of 435 mi. (700 km). Charges for the use of the Sky Lane will be handled through the droneports in the form of take-off and landing fees.
Educational Programs
Standards and Regulations
- The consortium will maintain a set of industry standards and regulations from each country the drones are being operated from. The database of these documents will be open and free to all consortium members, for non-members there will be a small charge for viewing and downloading.
Consulting
- The consortium will provide consulting services to companies that want to be educated in the freight drone industry or need help with setting their own freight drone operation.
